Official update for GTV and Mytvonline 2 software 9.2.9

New MOL 2 for GTV released.

MYTVOnline 2 : 9.2.9

WARNING:

Install and use at your own risk. Software cannot be rolled back after installation.

HowTo Install:

Home Menu -> Software Update app -> The Firmware and Software version is shown, press "OK" button for install.

The install process and reboot works automatically! Please don`t turn off the box or plug out the power supply, could damage the box.

The reboot after update needs always much longer than usual, please be patinate and let the box finish the install. If necessary reboot later once again.

We need to collect data and feedbacks on one place, please report in this thread only. Thank you for your understanding.

NEW: Add Search by Actor feature for VOD. Works with compatible services.
- Click on the Actor's photo under VOD/Series details to initiate the search
NEW: Rename custom favorite groups
- My Groups > Press and hold OK on a created group to access the editor context menu
NEW: Add file browser for adding new m3u/xmltv from local filesystem
FIX: Device reboots when playing certain contents
FIX: Issue when parsing m3u with special characters/encoding
FIX: Online subtitle search not working with Greek language

Info: If you already have the beta version, It will not ask you to update. The Beta goes directly Official because there are no changes in the code.

Does this update solve the issue for MOL2 to play certain files with its internal player? I hope that new codecs will be installed with this new update.

In beta thread has nobody reported similar about issues with codecs, so how could the devs. know that some files are not working? Like i know there are no codec changes.

Few weeks ago I reported this issue and they told me that this was going to be solved with the next update. I can show you the screenshot if you want!

I am using the CC but would like to use the GTV as well since the AndroidTV interface is much nicer. I bought 2 GTVs that are sitting unused while waiting for the update. If there are no plans to incorporate the USB NTSC adapter option then maybe I should try selling them?

Fyi: this should have been addressed in this update. Also, Teamviewer quick support was not fixed. We can only monitor and not fully control remotely. All these limitations make the z8 and z8 pro better than the GTV unfortunately

Will be addressed in the next firmware update. 😉

The update released yesterday only applies to MYTVOnline2.

Quite unhappy to see that this update does not fix the "InvalidresponsecodeException" error and the VPN issue. Are dev's able to provide any clarity on this regarding fixing these in a future update?

Having previously never experienced this issue, since the latest update I now get it frequently.

Really is very frustrating

Additionally I’m also getting another issue which wasn’t experienced previously

sometimes when I change channel the next channel doesn’t load so I try another and the same happens. Eventually it does kick in but clearly there’s an issue here.

GTV unfortunately 1 step forward and 3 steps back all the time

I don't use my tv remote control to turn on/off my tv cause HDMI CEC is switched on and it works perfectly. The issue I have now is I can't keep my manual resolution settings, the Display Mode and Color Space Settings keep changing back to default when I turn on the gtv from standby.

Same thing happens to me. When I change to channel to a different one it will just display a black screen. Then when I keep changing the channel the black screen remains and the channel does not change. Even when I try and change it to a channel that works 100% of the time, this black screen still remains.

As adrilang stated, this does kick in eventually and it does work, however this is a massive inconvenience.

I understand its a relatively new box however there doesn't seem to be any indication from anyone to say these issues are getting looked at and will be resolved.

Really starting to regret my decision to get a GTV and not stick with my Z8.

After one of the updates static DNS always revert to google DNS servers, this is not good. Please fix static DNS so it can properly save my own selected DNS servers.

hi.

Did you change the dns on router and box? Did you set the same dns on both?

I set the router's IP on the GTV. I know these things, the problem is that this was ok in earlier firmware, but now it reverts at once to google's DNS.

Upload picture from your Router DNS Settings and explain then in detail what did you done on the GTV (Static IP, dhcp, Ethernet or Wifi, please in detail because my crystal ball is missing...)

Sam, are you of the opinion that the static DNS on the GTV is not supposed to revert to Google's DNS? If so you should check it, I don't need a crystal ball to know there is nothing wrong with my router, my Z8 does not have this problem, neither does any other boxes or equipment. Please check on your end. I am an IT expert.

Calm down, you asked me to help, why do you then not tell me what i ask for?

1. Your router use Google DNS right, or Cloudflare DNS?

2. What kind of DNS use your GTV with static IP and DNS, something else?

3. When the GTV reverts to Google DNS, instantly or after reboot?

4. When you change the DNS on GTV, where you check the using DNS from your GTV? You must see somehow that the DNS is changed, how and where?

Gtv having newest update and it doesnt play some codec using internal Mol2 player. Same portal tested on Z8 and it plays fine.

Also hoping to have Mol sound fixed, PCM format works but Raw Option will be nice.

Is a stable and fluid image solution planned for FHD channels in the next update?

It is obvious that it does not work very well, much less the AFR.

Of course is planed to fix all known bugs from Formuler side, only problem is this can not be fixed at once and so fast like we would to see it.

Also noticed some PORTAL Streams don't play on GTV but plays fine on Z8 and Z8 Pro.

Installed the 9.2.9 Beta a few days ago on my GTV. Now the Formuler Update app is called "LIB" and if I open it it only shows VERSION Check (3.0.2-65-d3be094) after approximately 3 minutes the Offical Software page appears with no content.

This new update causes everything I watch to glitch and constantly stutter every 20secs non stop using my gtv. I've got 3 z8 that run flawlessly because I haven't updated those and probably wont.

Do you have any buffer set? (Player Options/Buffer Time)? I have experienced stuttering and fixed it by setting that parameter to OFF. Of course, YMMV!

Is there any news of update for the static DNS adress?

Also, there is a glitch on channels when commercials come and go. It affects my receiver to lose connection for a second and then also my tv. So, the GTV can't keep the audio or send audio properly.
