BETA update - FW 11.2.0 and MOL3 11.2.10 for Formuler Z11 Series released.

Pretty good but still seeing some bugs with this. Main ones are pressing Favourite on remote doesn’t bring up favourites list directly (have to press right first), and image settings go from 49% - 51% (skip 50%).

Looking good so far...

Highlights for me:

Enable/disable content sources.

HLG HDR playback fixed.

New colour themes available (I like midnight vibe ).

Mark all notifications as read.

As per LDeacon I would still like to see 1% adjustment steps in image settings...

1) Missing Channel to sort with Numbers. (All Category doesn’t show)

2) Not able to play h265 4k stream.

Can play h264 4k and h265 HD but not H265 4k.

Nice update, need to test it at night but i've notice 2 new things In Developer settings > Vendor > Video:

1 <enable Playback Performance Mode (experimental)> is now enabled by default

2 New setting called <playback with less reserved buffers> - disabled by default

Not sure what they do, but when i disable the <enable Playback Performance Mode (experimental)> setting it automatically enables the <playback with less reserved buffers>.

I see some differences in video playback but i'm not sure which one is best, they are very little, but there is some differences i can spot vs last firmware version, mainly when <enable Playback Performance Mode (experimental)> is disabled

Not sure if disabling both is a good idea but it seems on my end to be the closest in terms of video playback as before this update. But i can't be sure of any, just did a quick test, will see at night what this new settings are all about...

The first one i knew about it, the other one never saw it, but i probably forgot to go to that section since before the last beta update possibly.

Anyways, i've tested a bit more, now i can clearly say i'm not seeing any differences from enabling and disabling both of those settings, so i decided to let it be and revert to the default...

Other thing i noticed is now when you open the app for the first time, the first channel don't get AFR, but if you change to other channel it will change AFR right away, maybe a bug brought by the nice intro logo? Not sure, anyways, just need to change channel quickly, no big deal...

setup a scheduled recording for every day this week....The good news is that it recorded successfully today...So far so good...that was noted as haveing work done on it in the notes.

The problem with installing the BETA (#6), is resolved,probably down to my rheumatic fingers!

So far so good.

I’m not experiencing any issues.

I’ll keep testing and if I come across any suspect findings I will post.

I just checked here. Same for me...press favourites on the remote and menu appears on the left and favourites displayed.

bit reluctant to try out the beta, too much hassle when bug occurs, to re enter portal details . What are the themes colours? Has anyone tried them out?

Ashleyj1980 I understand what you say in regards to having to re enter portal details but for me the BETA updated without issue. Of course, your mileage may vary...

I don't have time to screenshot the themes but I like Midnight Vibe...as I said earlier.

Anyway the list of theme names;

Iceberg -blue and green/white highlights

Rubber Duck -blue/yellow highlights

Flamingo -blue/pink highlights

Eclipse -black and grey/orange highlights

Lagoon -black and grey/blue highlights

Purple Rain -black and grey/purple highlights

Midnight Vibe -black and grey/pink highlights

Hello all, alot of stuff is fixed and perfect, alot of new stuff too like themes, recommended movies and oders, for now my findings are,

* VOD recomended videos, very cool NEW feature, but, goes to search, but shows NO results even if the specific VOD is on the service...

*VOD/SERIES PLAY BUTTON OR CONTINUE BUTTON ROW, is now in the middle of the screen insteadof the bottom like before, and cuts the plot just to 3 lines.

* VOD TMDB INTEGRATION still not working/ showing English plot, if the chosen system language has no available plot...

* Cloudtimeshift (before was not showing the complete content playable time, was not working good) now will always take you to the last program that was played before the one that is playing live now, and it was supposed to take us to the beginning of the one playing live now. EPG is working good and replay is also working flawless.

yes but you have to press right to access them. On z8 it would allowed you to press up and down on favourites straight away without pressing right first.

I have discovered with mol3, with the new beta when disable server is turned on and external USB storage attached android>data>tv.formuler.mol3.real>recordings becomes corrupt, forcing a reformat via pc via diskpart, disk management

Secondly the dedicated Google voice search with the gtv-bt1 doesn't seam to work but instead crash while in the mol3 or @ the home screen

3. Formatting from device cause boot loader loop, not 100 percent sure if it's beta related or generally related when large drive attached 128gb of larger causes device to bootloader loop, work arround is format device with pc delete partions and create new partions the device will then boot

hi sam, i did the beta and i got 2 provider in stalker portal, when i press Guide i only see 3 hour in the past and 3-4 hour in the future. But if i press the Ok and the right arrow, all the content is there, and i can even use the catchup. Does this problem is fixed and i need to do factory reset ?

My box before a update bets goes crazy... not the first time; all channels disappear-groups gone favourites all vanished.

2 days later .. beta!! Anyway all fine atm, can see everytime we log in Mol3 we can see the symbols filling the screen! Great show...

And can't see any recommendations?? On VOD or series...

Can someone tell me why MYTV online 3 does not have the option to reload the portal completely. Because of this people are losing connection when the device is left on standby and even after a reboot you still can't get connection the channels and VOD but EPG is visible. Only way to solve this is to reset the app and a new portal again. Error message is contact your service provider. unable to open stream server error HTTP 401. This always happens when the device is in standby for a couple of hours. Has been tested on different devices. The solution in my eyes is simply recharging the portal from 0 to 100 which was easy with mytvonline 2 but impossible with the 3. It only charges the first time the portal has been added.

hello, congratulations to the team, with each update, the application is more and more top. I just have one regret, you always have to update the servers manually. Could someone tell me if it is technically possible for it to be done automatically at startup like on mol2 and if so, if it is planned to do so soon. Cordially

EPG is still one hour behind and when I try to offset by 1 hour, it says “No information”.

This is my first Formuler box and I like it a lot, but I need to solve the EPG problem.

I was very happy that an update was released. I am a new user (NL) and ran into several issues on the former update. I tested this update by first resetting the factory settings and then the beta update over it. The Z11 pro max is replacing a Samsung SMT-C7140, and I still run into problems when recording after the beta update. I didn’t find my answers on the forum, so here we go;

The following topics still cause problems:

• EPG
  • Still lags an hour behind actual times (screenshots of settings may be available). Meanwhile Offset set to -1
  • Get max. 24 hours on screen, sometimes even less
• Recording
  • Without an additional start a time being set:
    When setting up multiple contiguous programs with the recording icon the recording of the^2nd program stops every time after a few minutes. Standby or shutdown mode of the Z11 does not matter.
  • In the event additional recording time is set in the settings and 2 programs on the same channel are set up one after the other to be recorded using the same icon as mentioned above, the Z11 indicates that a conflict arises (due to overlap due to the extra time before and after). The only option is then to uninstall the previously set program and so it is not possible to record the 2 programs that way. The Samsung SMT-C7140 automatically adjusted the time between the 2 programs so that they can be chosen after all that way. I don’t know for sure if this is a bug or a request feature, but can something like that be programmed on the Z11 as well? Else I would like to ask how one program after the other must be recorded with one single handling.
  • If the Z11 is turned off with the remote during a direct recording (visible at the red point at the top right of the screen), recording stops. In that case the HDD continues to run in shutdown mode by the way.
  • If during a direct recording been navigated to the guide on the remote, the red dot disappears, and you do not know on which channel is being recorded.

I have taken pictures to clarify things, please let me know if you want me to send them.
