HowTo Install:

Home Menu -> Software Update -> press "1339" -> Red Icon and Beta Test SW appear (right corner) -> Press Red Button -> Firmware and Software are now shown, press "OK" button for install.

The install process and reboot works automatically! Please don`t turn off the box or plug out the power supply, could damage the box. The reboot after update needs always much longer than usual, please be patient and let the box finish the install. If necessary reboot later once again.

Beta Firmware v. 11.2.8 and MOL 3 v. 11.2.32 discussions only in this thread here! Other open threads with Beta issues will be deleted instantly!

Its worth the risk to try this beta version,i hope many Z11 users who returned to older box (Z8,Z10,GTV) will use this possibility to give as much feedback as possible to the devs!

Some feedback after short test.

- Content was updated as scheduled, but EPG was NOT updated ; in Content Manager - Data Sync - Auto Update Settings, only the content is there (auto yes/no and daily hour), the EPG option isn't there anymore (I believe it was before - tested English & Dutch)

- NEW: Added "Date Added" field in VOD and TV Series pages -> nice, but could also the providername be added somewhere (now in Favourites & Recent we can't see the provider of vods and series)?

- Going back to live tv after vod or series, the image sometimes stutters and the audio is out of sync (zapping channels helped - all AFR is off)

- Following didn't occur, but testtime was to short to draw conclusions: 10 seconds rollback en MOL3 crashes.

Further some outstanding issues for which I hoped for a solution by now:

- Sound issue (after a few seconds: out of sync. of 0,3 seconds on certain channels, vods and series) - only with audio 5.1 AAC. Manual sync. option could also solve this.

- EPG still not improved (some provider ok for a few days back and a few days forward, some provider only 1 day back and 1 day forward, some provider no EPG at all). Using XCAPI. Still not possible to record by single EPG.

- IMDB: no improvements, so sometimes all info is there, sometimes there's nothing

That is disappointing.

I also don't see fix for roll backs in the change log but this issue seemed to be fixed in the earlier temporarily released Beta update.

So just need to install and test.

Still getting the spinning circle just without the unexpectedloaderexception text.

Z11 Pro - I reset the box first as was dealing with another issue. Now when I try to enter anything there is no keyboard coming up - factory reset 0000 now is not working. Nothing happens.

Downloaded the new beta - still same issues as above, can't reset, no keyboard to enter portal settings - things just fallen over completely and can't be used. Not sure where to go with this as if it won't reset and it won't open a keyboard for settings - think i'm dead in the water with the box.

After using my Z10 for a while,i actually am impressed with the PQ of the Z11 after beta update,it appears more smooth compared to the Z10.

Still the same,limited to 24 hours or less on XC.

Well nothing added there that I actually noticed were wrong! But still thanks for the update. But still all we want is 7 day epg guys on xc. & record & remind function on single epg! Got seriously grey waiting on them coming back 😉 but Formuler update to follow so not sulking just yet! VOD loading problem & date added to VOD series is a bonus though. Thanks team. Still bit disappointed though. Thanks though formuler team for your work.

I am am preliminary happy that the errors "A network error occured & loss of internet connection" havent happened yet,i hope this will be a issue of the past!

On the keyboard situation, it is very rare for that to happen and for it not to work but I did notice it on someone’s box and this method resolved it:

Formuler Home Screen > Settings > Apps > See All Apps > Show System Apps > Gboard > uninstall updates

It is my understanding that for VOB files, this is data contained within the video stream such as subtitles etc

I would think they’ve also improved the auto update feature when you set your time to automatically refresh contents and or background refreshing when new content is found

Improved channel retry, I assume this could be when you select a channel and there might be an issue with it, MTOL will retry to load the stream more comprehensively than before. You have retry settings within player options anyway.

Of course keep in mind, if the stream is dead then it’s dead, the retry is to try and load it if it’s available.

I could be wrong on the above points relating to the update but that would be my understanding based on how MTOL normally functions

Update Complete and was I looking forward to this. Thus far everything seems to be working well! With prior version, I was having issues with turning on box and no sound would play. I would have to restart the box and whola, sound would work! The other issue I had (random), I would be watching TV and the box via the BT1 remote would become unresponsive and I would have to pull the power out and allow the box to restart. Again this was with the prior software version. Thanks for this update! Will keep you posted regarding any odd results.

Hi,you can try uninstall mol3 and reinstall from formuler market.

If this does not work you van do factory reset.

Manual refresh of the sub should pull the channels through. if the live tv option overall is missing this should do the same.

Go into VOD or whatever option you can enter and do the following:

menu > content manager > content sources

Select your sub and then click refresh

you can go through data sync but I find in the very rare instance this has occurred, the above method sorts it

Hi,did you mean that if you press menu button,live tv is not showing,or did you mean live tv is available in mol3 menu,but you just cant get the channels threw?

Still some bugs and improvements not fixed:

--When change language in Settings/device preferences/language, after 1 and even 2x "back", there is still uneded circle looping , you need a 3rd back to get out of this turning circle...even if you wait 1 minute or 2..

--When reorganizing similar pin groups (Channels, VOD& series), they usually have the same or very similar names by all the suppliers (thriller, romance...or SPORTS HD, etc...), so you have NO indication whatsoever of what supplier the pin group is from.

--Still no slow motion, FF, and Rewind faster like on MOL2 in the timeshift (double and end arrows have been deleted ), it would be just simple to come back like in MOL2 or put the little clock like it works very nicely already in MOL3 in the movies and in the recordings

--Slow and fast motions would also be appreciated in the replays (catch-up)

--Get back to dissociate 2 different PIN's in MOL3 like in MOL2: 1 for Menu Lock, and a different (or the same by default) for parental channels lock. 2 different pin's are very useful in several cases.

--There is still no counter of the number of VOD and series by category

--In Sources: It would be usefull to be able to record and save a portal URL and data without having to try to connect it absolutely, what can cause an IP ban.

--It would be great to add an option to "Manage and move Sources" to move and swap between sources, example place on top source 2 instead of source 1 or 3 for example.

--For the search, it would be easier access to move back the loop to the top left corner, more intuitive.

--There is lacking an option to delete ALL the FAV VOD and /or Series at once (in 1 time), or to select which one to remove and also the same in HISTORY: when you have 30-40 VOD and you want to delete them all or even better select 5 or 10 of them to delete, there should be this option.

In French, the translation is wrong: "Supprimer l'historique" means "delete ALL the history". The correct translation in this case of 1 by one would be "Voulez-vous supprimer DE l'historique" (add the word "de" which means "from"), this would be also suitable if you want to delete 5, or 10 out of all the history (delete/remove from the history) and then, keep "Supprimer l'historique" if you allow us to delete/remove ALL the history.

--When you press the "INFO" key on the remote during a serie, the photo next to the summary is disformed, extended with long heads: the proportions are not respected like in the VOD where this is perfect and does not happen.

--Many people think there are no movies, they DO NOT know the acronym "VOD", it would be just better to get back to the real word "MOVIES" in English, "FILMS" in French and Dutch, "PELLICULAS" in Spanish, "FILME" in German, "FILMES" in Portuguese etc...

--In Classic Mode, it was and would be more explicit, more understandable for easy usage to write "FAV" next to the blue color instead of a star, "Search" in Eng, "Recherche" (or "RECH" if not enough place) in French , "Sort" for the red (TRI in French), "Lock" for the yellow , ( "Bloquer") or everything in ENG if it's too long and /or difficult to translate. Better to write an explanation than just a symbol that not everybody especially older people don't always understand.

--Also, some of the movies and series have at the bottom of the page a "RECOMMENDED" category, (cf Netflix) which is a good thing, a good start but could be better: why not all, on what algorythm is it based ?

But more important: some people asked me because they find it very attractive to have a kind of video trailer of 10 seconds or so , exactly like Netflix does with extracts of the VOD to recommend similar series and movies.

Thank you. I have the experience of several years with Formuler, and from MOL, MOL2, and now MOL3 and hundreds of customers or friends that I have helped throughout those years...so, I think my feedback is worth it.

sometimes I will edit and add new points, like I did already in another thread about MOL3 as maybe some ideas come later or I have noticed a bug or something new to improve.

I also installed the beta version, I hope this update will work now.

After thanking the team for the vod failed to load issues beta fix. Im afraid it's still not fixed. "Still getting the "failed to load VOD error" but it just fixes itself a little quicker now than last time having to reset box or go in & out of vod many times.

This error could occur when content is being adjusted provider side

I installed the new update at 2pm and since then the sound still good, no restart for now.

Hopefully it’s stays like this then/now I’m really happy with it.

Hi,woste,i have one question concerning EPG,for how many hours was your EPG updated.?

I am also on XCAPI on both providers,but my grid EPG is still limited to 24 hrs,whereas on single view on one provider i have several days (5-7) and on the other provider 2 days

About live tv,i had short rollbacks in a scheduled recording,but not in live tv,i think the rollbacks in my recording are related to a recently installed file commander App,i installed for unknown reason,and does seem to interfere with recording,because in notifications the recording was noted as succesfull,but when i wanted to play the recording this app gave me the message "no recording device connected"

Finally can somebody give me suggestions how to uninstall this annoying App?

- About the EPG: see my post #8 -> 'EPG still not improved (some provider ok for a few days back and a few days forward, some provider only 1 day back and 1 day forward, some provider no EPG at all).
