How to use Backup & Restore function?

I have a z11 Pro Max. After installing my custom configuration file I lost the backup/restore feature, how do I get it back?

Is it possible to create a key to configure other Z11 Pro Max and MYTVOnline3 ?

That would be a great update to consider SAM because it would;d be a pain in the butt to input 2-services on 3 different boxes . would be nice to get 1 box setup with all the services and preferences then create a backup and restore to other boxes that are using same OS and firmware... Just like TiviMate app does....

I can see the 4 JSON files in it and I only want to get the favorites to copy them to my another Z11 Pro Max.

Favorites are so tiring to do with MOL3

I have update mytvonline 3 for last version beta with 1339. I have inside the box one micro SD to do backup but now doesn't let to do backup, when I try to do backup give me message 'empty' . But before the update I have used micro SD to backups.

Now I have to use a USB to backup.

Hi,you have to take into account that after the beta update,you may have to reset your DVR options.

It happened to me,when checking in DVR options i noticed that my 1 TB hdd was stricken out(stripe through the device)

So if you check,whether micro SD is stricken,you can reset it and still do your backup to micro SD

Not sure why we can't backup on box 1 and load to box 2. The Shield can do it.

I have 6 Shield boxes and it takes minutes to load all the boxes after the initial setup of favorite's - channels etc..

We are talking hours per box with the Formuler if we can't load box 1 to box 2

Please fix. I would love to change them all out but not without this feature...

Anyone have any idea why when I try to perform a Backup, I get an Failed error?
Box is a Z11 Pro Max.

My Box lost all it's Favorite channels and my personal Group channels from memory, now I have rebuilt it, trying to save and get the Failed error.

I reformatted my usb storage drive and I was able to perform a backup on MOL3.

You should be able to create 1 backup and restore to every box you have ,thats a big time saver.. I've got Z12 mini so no USB directly connected, instead a network share mounted on Android at startup.

Hello I have a Samsung t7 ssd 1tb drive its formated in exfat but don't recognised from formuler z11 pro max.I have tested the drive in my other formuler z8 with no problems. Please a solution.

The preffered format is NTFS,you can reformat with Rufus tool on your laptop or PC

I keep getting the backup failed message. The backup seems to begin and get to 25% then I get the message every time. I’m trying to backup from on box and restore to another. Does it matter that they are with different internet providers.

Don’t think you can backup on one device and “restore” it on another.

Used to be able right at the start but it’s been a long time and the ability is no longer possible.

the assumption is that all backup copies should be added with the backup date, not just one copy. I hope that the modification will be made in the next update to add all backup copies.

I use it all the time the backup, and I have never ever an issue with it.
Works well for me if I reset the box.
And all the channels in my settings how put them is back.

Can you make it so we can backup and restore the settings, channel lists and favorites from one module to another. I have customers who have multiple tv's and want the channel lists and favorites the same on all of them. I don't see how that would compromise any security.

I'm asking the same question here. I have put a lot of time into curating the favorite folders and groups across four different providers. I'm just using two z12 boxes in the same home. Having to type in everything via the remote can take a while on it's own. Not to say navigating through each provider's groups and selecting individual channels.
